Hilly Kristal died yesterday from lung cancer complications. He was the founder of the CBGB in Manhattan, New York, which housed many acts from amazing artists since 1973. Interestingly, according to vh1.com his daughter plans to open up more CBGB clubs in the near future.

Feist played on Letterman with a choir of members from Grizzly Bear, Broken Social Scene, New Pornographers, The National, Mates of State, and Nicole Atkins and the Sea. That’s the whole crew pictured above.
