WonderRoot’s Battle Of The Bands
Usually I am not interested in Battle of Bands competitions, but WonderRoot has taken the idea and added some cool twists to help better our local community. Basically, between December 1st and January 31st of next year, bands will compete with one another to rack up as many hours of community service as possible. The five bands who accumulate the most hours of service will then qualify for a final showcase at Lenny’s February 28th, 2009. The event will be free for people to attend, but are urged to bring canned food donations. The band who combines the most community service with the best attendance at the show will win free studio time with producer Graham Marsh (Gnarls Barkley) to record a 5-track EP.
