[Mp3] Bambara: “Repeat After Me”
Now that chillwave has come along and saturated the hype-o-sphere, previous indie music trends such as nu-gaze and post-punk, which were so hot 2K6-8, have fallen quite a bit out of fashion. But one of the best records I’ve heard from the state of Georgia this year comes with a healthy dose of both anachronistic sounds, creating a seemingly perfect-matched hybrid that still feels fresh despite not conforming to the current fads . As long as excess effects and massive dynamics shifts don’t harsh your buzz too much, Bambara‘s newest record, Dog Ear Days, should not be overlooked because it’s my favourite from Athens so far 2K10.
