hey davy,

i got some stuff that might fly under some radars that u might dig (apologies if it's already been reviewed or something)...

Skeletonbreath (Brooklyn violin-bass-drum trio) dropped an album not too long ago that u can listen to some of on www.myspace.com/skeletonbreath

Them Crooked Vultures (new supergroup of Dave Grohl, John Paul Jones, and the guitarist from Queens of the Stone Age) have their self-titled debut album streaming at:
http://onethirtybpm.com/2009/11/09/stream-the-new-them-crooked-vultures-album/

The Very Best's "Warm Heart of Africa" is an Afro-Indie-Pop mix of Malawi artist Esau Mwamwaya and UK producers Radioclit
http://www.myspace.com/theverybestmyspace

Air's "Love 2" is an ambient electro mix that travels through cultural styles pretty smoothly, and is fully listenable at:
http://en.aircheology.com/discographie/albums/love_2/love_2

Australian classic rock band Wolfmother's "Cosmic Egg" has their full album stream on myspace:
http://www.myspace.com/wolfmother

The Black Keys are set to release an album soon that involves collaboration with a number of hip-hop artists including ?uestlove and Mos Def, someone told me it might be around the net somewhere, but for more info:
http://www.blakroc.com/index_artists.html

For other stuff in the hiphop realm, Somalian artist K'naan recently released a mixtape entitled "The Messengers" that pays tribute to the legends Bob Marley, Fela Kuti, and Bob Dylan:
http://www.jperiod.com/knaan/

And of course, if you haven't had a thorough listen yet, check out Omar Rodriguez-Lopez's Xenophanes, where he lets off his signature style riffs and even sings a good bit with his girlfriend...most (if not all) is on the record label's myspace:
http://www.myspace.com/rodriguezlopezproductions

so i know i didnt list any atlanta bands on here, but there's a new band up and coming from the depths of home park that i have the great pleasure to make sounds with from time to time, so if u feel the urge:

Davy,

We love the site. We really can't add much to your very thorough coverage of the local music scene, just pleased to be working the same ATL. If you've got any literary types, they might find that part of our content of interest though. http://atlalist.com

Best, Rube & Atlanta's A-Listers

" I try my best to dig as deep as possible, but there is no way I can give your band some love if I don’t know you exist. So please leave suggestions in the comments here or send me emails or tweet me or whatever. "

Atlanta band Irreversible's cd the Light was really good. They recently broke up but it was an amazing release nonetheless.

Plus Animal Collective's new ep kicks ass
