Atlanta Album Preview: Mastodon
Drummer Brann Dailor is describing their fourth full-length as “real creepy and spaced out and different.” They are currently recording it in Atlanta with Brendan O’Brien, and the final track is supposed to be 15 minutes long. Mastodon are getting huge right now and this could be the record that solidifies them as Atlanta’s biggest of this decade, so I can’t wait to hear it. They debuted three new songs at Bonnaroo, and here is audio and pics of “Divinations”:
